1. Summary

No in-app account signup. Steam purchase and ownership are handled by Valve. Projects and editing media stay on your device by default.

2. Data we handle

Local: projects, clips, settings (IndexedDB), exports; optional BYOK keys (Gemini, Pixabay, ElevenLabs) stored locally and encrypted with OS safeStorage when available (not a universal hardware-keychain guarantee)
Steam/Valve: purchase and library per Steam policies — we do not collect your Steam password
Optional network (only when you use the feature): Hugging Face model weights (on-device Whisper / BEN2 / Meta SAM 2.1); Google Gemini (AI illustration and YouTube benchmarking / new scripts via official video understanding — pasted URL + your key; no YouTube download / no verbatim transcript); Pixabay (BYOK); ElevenLabs TTS (your key; no voice-clone creation)
Operator trial/license API: not used in Steam-only builds

3. Analytics

The desktop app does not ship third-party product analytics SDKs (no Sentry/GA/PostHog in the default build). Steam itself may collect data under Valve’s policies.

4. Distribution

This software is sold on Steam only. It is not sold as a Chrome extension or other separate channel.
