1. Overview

Strange Video Editor is a local-first Steam desktop timeline editor. Optional Pixabay stock search is provided through the developer’s server — no user API key is required. On-device features (auto captions via Whisper, object masking via Meta SAM 2, background removal via BEN2) run local MIT/Apache-2.0 models downloaded from Hugging Face.

2. Purchases

• Sold on Steam only. Refunds and pricing follow the Steam store and Subscriber Agreement.
• The app is digital content: once delivery begins (library add, download start, install, or launch) the right of withdrawal may be restricted under Art. 17(2)5 of the Korean E-Commerce Act. See the Withdrawal & Refund Policy (/refund) before buying.
• Typical introductory list price: one-time USD 40 (may rise later; promotions may appear). One payment includes lifetime use and free future updates.
• There is no separate browser-extension store edition.

3. Your content

You are solely responsible for rights and legality of all media you import, edit, and export.

4. Optional online features

Features such as Pixabay stock search (served through the developer’s backend) and on-device ML model downloads (Whisper MIT / Meta SAM 2 Apache-2.0 / BEN2 MIT, from Hugging Face) require network access when you use them, and third-party terms apply.
